Omani Art Exhibition

Pak Oman sponsored an art exhibition in January of 2005 in Muscat titled
"Diverse Voices - Contemporary Art From Pakistan". Organized by the Embassy of Pakistan and the Oman Society for Fine Arts, the exhibition was arranged in the Society's gallery. Artists exhibiting their work included heavyweights like Gulgee, Salima Hashmi, Changalz Sultan, Qudsia Nisar and Ayesha Durrani to name a few.

The exhibition was inaugurated by His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Advisor to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, and a large number of Omani dignitaries were invited for the opening ceremony. Pak Oman 's participation was motivated by the opportunity to foster friendlier relations between both countries and more importantly to promote Pakistan as a center of culture and art.
