Art Competition for Children Karachi
‘Friends of Life’ recently
organized an Inter-School Art competition for young
children from various schools, as part of its mission
to encourage social interaction and healthy competition
amongst children and youth.
An official prize giving ceremony was
held at a local hotel and winners in various categories
as well as their respective parents and school principals
were invited to attend. Eminent artist and thespian
Mr. Anwar Maqsood, who at an earlier date had selected
the winning entries, presided over the event. Addressing
the gathering he commended the role of Pak Oman and
‘Friends of Life’ in providing creative
opportunities for children and helping instill in them
a sense of responsibility for the environment and the
society that they are a part of.
Children between the ages of 6 and
10 from different schools submitted entries based on
topics like ‘Me, myself and I’, ‘The
World We Live In’ and ‘My Favorite Person’.
The winners were awarded special prizes,
while all other contributing schools as well as children
were given plaques and certificates.
